I’ve been reading a lot of books lately. Currently, I’m reading Wrong About Japan by Peter Carey. The book was written after his and his son’s trip to Japan sometime in 2002, I believe. I’m finding it an enjoyable read, but the book is mainly based around manga and anime, which I don’t really have that much of an interest. Still, it’s interesting reading a gaijin (外人) view on Japan. I read another travel book, called Meeting Mr Kim: or How I Went to Korea and Learned To Love Kimchi by Jennifer Barclay. I really enjoyed the book. It’s about a woman who accompanies her boyfriend to Korea for 3 months and travels around Korea in search for the soul of Seoul. Her stories about meeting a wide range of friendly Korean people makes me want to visit. Hopefully I can, if I read Korean Studies at university.
Currently listening to: So Hot by Wonder Girls, from the album So Hot.
Now I’m enrolled for Greek! I think I made a mistake in taking these classes though, as I didn’t take into account the time it would take for me to get to the centres…XD I’m going to be out till at least 11pm on a school day. Woo. I’ll see what happens. Maybe my college timetable will be kind to me. : D
My current theme isn’t compatible with Wordpress 2.6, so I’m using this theme ’til there’s some sort of fix.

I saw Mamma Mia! today. It was okay. The first half really irritated me, as the women in it were screaming for no real reason. Have you ever been to like, a food market or a fishmonger? There are usually people screaming “£1 FOR A BUNCH OF BANANAS.” The screaming was like that. I liked the second half though, as it was mainly just singing. Also, blasting classical music out of a car is so lolz. People stare at you when you walk past.
I got accepted into the Mandarin course! Yay. : D
Currently listening to: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Tori Amos, from the album Spark.
On Saturday, I went to the Korean Food Festival in New Malden. It was awesome. We bought so much food that it filled our table; there wasn’t much space on it left. I didn’t even know what half of what we got was, as we just randomly pointed at stuff that we thought looked good. I knew the name stuff that I eat all the time though! Like bulgogi, galbi, mandu and tteokbokki. There was a demonstration of taekwondo, and some little girls dancing to Honey by JYP. Of course, it would have made my day if someone danced to Tell Me by Wonder Girls. The dance to that song is so awesome.
Maybe I should have randomly burst out dancing to it. I’m sure someone would have joined me, as some people in the crowd were dancing to Honey.
