DANCE & CHANCE

The sleepover was fun. We ate, played Guitar Hero, watched Mean Girls, went to sleep and I didn’t forget my socks. I didn’t get much sleep, because one of my friends kept me up half the night sleeptalking.

On Thursday, I went ice skating. I’m okay at it. The first time I ever went, I got onto the ice and was already going around the rink, unlike most of my friends, who were hugging the side. The only thing I really hate about ice skating is that the rink is always packed. There were some close misses when I couldn’t swerve out the way for someone. And also loads of squeezing past groups. This one girl fell over and started to bleed, so we all had to clear the ice so she could be wheelchaired off. I feel over one. I must have had put too much weight onto my back, because I fell over backwards. It was amusing. I spent like, a minute, rolling around laughing and generally blocking the way.

Today, I went to Gatwick Airport in my quest for a job. We wandered around looking for the job center. We eventually found it. It had closed down. That was fun. After that, I went home and ended up taking a nap.

SO CRAZY

So what have I got planned for this half term? Quite a lot actually, which is usually not the case. On Wednesday, I’m going to my friends sleep-over and on Thursday, I’m going ice skating. I might also be going to Gatwick Airport with another friend job hunting. Yay! I may have or have not mentioned that already, but I can’t remember.

I’ve also been set quite a bit of homework. I have 2 essays to complete, one about size zero models and another about…elections? I can’t remember what it is exactly.

I’ve recently discovered the joy that is Windows Live Writer. It’s a WYSISYG (What you see is what you get) blog publishing software that allows me to post on this very blog without having to access the web interface. It’s pretty nifty. It can do everything Wordpress can do and more! For example:

Every time I tried to use the rich text interface for YouTube videos, all that would come up was the embed codes and I would have to use the plain text interface to add them, which meant everything was in HTML if I wanted to bold something. Now all I have to do is copy and paste! = D

<BORING TECHNICAL COMPUTER CHAT OVER>

And yes, I like that song. Don’t judge me.

Bouncing Off Clouds

My first break has finally come. I’m so tired of having to go to college everyday, so I can look forward to sleeping in. I’ve organised to do stuffz over the break, like go to a sleepover and go out to Gatwick Airport. Fun!

As part of my Geography course, I’m going up north to Malham, in Yorkshire as part of my studies to collect primary data for my coursework. It’ll probably be wet, cold and muddy, so I’m going to have to dig out warm clothing, if I have any. It should be fun, as I know a few people going.

I finally bought some clothes. Not many, but at least I have more variety in my choice of clothing, like I can wear my waistcoat with some of my other shirts or have a different tie now and again.

I Go Humble

I so need some new threads. Every time I go clothes shopping, I get distracted and either buy clothes that I don’t particularly need or no clothes at all. Today, me and my friend went shopping. She bought some clothes, but when it came to me, I was just wandering aimlessly around the town, looking at clothes I didn’t like or couldn’t afford. Instead, I bought a birthday card. I don’t even know why. I don’t know anyone with a birthday coming up. I should probably take myself to Primark on Monday and buy a few shirts. Even though I need more trousers.

Leave It Open

Today, I went to Thorpe Park. For all you who aren’t in the know, Thorpe Park is a theme park. It was quite boring really. I went on X:\ No Way Out first. I screamed my head off to the amusement of my friends even though it wasn’t really scary. All it did was go backwards in the dark.

On the ride photograph of one of the rides, there were all these people screaming their heads off but when we go to our one, it was a picture of me and my friend talking. That was pretty amusing. The picture for one of those log rides were amusing too. I was doing one of those poses typically done by Japanese teenage girls where you put your hands below your chin like a flower.

We had to fill out a questionnaire while we were there, and I wrote that the most fulfilling part of my day was satisfying my hunger.

Yesterday, I had a taster of yoga. It was really fun. But really, who makes up these names? “Half-spinal twist” “shallow boat” and “The Downward Dog”. They all sound like sex positions.

Also, on Tuesday I became 17. Ohnoez.

I’m currently addicted to this song.

Okay, so that was basically a test to see if I could work the codes.
